Kayla Wills is from Orland, California and transferred to Ananda College from Butte Community College. She is focusing on the Education for Life Teaching certificate offered by the college, but has also won the year-long Yoga Teacher Training Certificate the college offers. Her goal is to work as a pre-school or Kindergarten teacher in a Living Wisdom School.
Dear Ananda College Scholarship Donors,
My name is Kayla Wills, and I’m from the small town of Orland, California. I attended Butte College before transferring to Ananda College. I’m studying here at Ananda College to receive an Education for Life Teaching certificate. I’ve been interning in a Kindergarten classroom, so I’ve had the opportunity to teach several lessons in this classroom. I’m feeling more and more confident, and ready to teach in a classroom of my own. Ananda College has given me faith in myself as a teacher, with practical and holistic lessons. I’ve thrived in the encompassing positive atmosphere that is here. I’m someone who has lived in love with life, feeling always lucky for the opportunities life has given me through others. After graduation, I have the opportunity to work in the Living Wisdom
Preschool! My dreams of making a difference in the lives of children are coming true, by you making a difference in my life. Thank you so much for supporting me and Ananda College.
“If you choose to use your status and influence to raise your voice on behalf of those who have no voice; if you choose to identify not only with the powerful, but with the powerless; if you retain the ability to imagine yourself into the lives of those who do not have your advantages, then it will not only be your proud families who celebrate your existence, but thousands and millions of people whose reality you have helped transform for the better. We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.”― J.K. Rowling
